Ooops - my geek side is showing...

Ordered some new PC parts last week and they came in today. I got a AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Processor - Six Core, 6MB L3 Cache, 3MB L2 Cache, 3.30GHz, Socket AM3 and a MSI 890FXA-GD65 AMD Socket AM3 Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3, 890FX Chipset, 2133MHz DDR3 (O.C.), SATA 6.0 Gb/s, RAID, 8-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0, CrossFireX Ready board. 

This thing should scream!!! I haven't built a PC since about '05 or 06 so I'm due for an upgrade. With all the bike and car shit going down around here I just haven't had time or cash.

New toy...

Picked up a new toy last weekend. According to the eBay seller its a 1932 and according to the lathe itself it's a 13" swing with a 5' bed and 24.5" between centers. I haven't fired it up yet because I need to change the plug on it.

Went to Alabama...with a banjo on my knee!

Well not so much a banjo.

My buddy Dan invited me down because Rick's Cycle Parts in Rainsville, AL was having a swap meet and drag races. I hadn't hung out with Dan and Tina in a while so I took the opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Dan told me to bring my riding gear because he was going to loan me his Sporty to ride. Well I get down there and I find out his Sporty is hand shift. We didn't really have time to teach me how to ride a hand shifted bike so Dan called a buddy of his who loaned us his Sporty. I tell you what, this is a sweet bike! It's light, powerful, easy to ride. I really enjoyed riding it.

The swap meet was cool. I didn't find anything I liked. Well, of course I found stuff I liked, but I didn't buy anything. My money is destined for another part I need.

Frame is back...

Clay had asked me a while back to pick up a donor Triumph for him since I was coming up to Richmond to get my frame.

I left Nashville at approx. 5:30 pm local time. I had no really set schedule but 5:30 was a lot later than I wanted to leave.

I got to Richmond at a little after 5am their time. I texted Clay and he said he was at the shop. He let me in and we BSed for a while before calling it a night (morning?).

He offered me his couch and I caught a couple Z's. We went back to the shop and hung out with a friend of his for a while. Then we unloaded the donor bike and I put my frame in the truck to start the drive home.
